Dr. Catron received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the
University of Louisville in 1988 and joined the Navy. Apart from his Naval
dental duties he worked on the side at several offices and completed an
Oral Surgery Fellowship in 1994 at the Great Lakes Hospital in Great
Lakes, Illinois.
In July 1998 he left the Navy and
moved his family to Tazewell where he purchased the practice of Dr. David
Strong. A tragic fire in 1999 severely damaged the building and forced him
to share an office until it was restored.
Professionally
he is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA),
Academy of General Dentistry (AGD),
and the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry (VAGD).
Personally
he is an active member of Tazewell Presbyterian Church as a choir member, Sunday
school teacher, and church elder. He also serves as a volunteer coach for
such sports as football, soccer, and tee-ball on the elementary age level.
In the past he has been involved with various civic organizations.
